Esra Tasdelen, who received her PhD from NELC in 2014 with a dissertation on Turkish and Arabic literature of the early 20th century "Nationalism in Serial Fiction: The Cases of Ahmet Hikmet Müftüoğlu and Jurjī Zaydā" (advised by Holly Shissler), is now teaching students at North Central College in Naperville, IL about the Middle East.
