Amina has worked with NELC since October 2016. As the Department Assistant, she aids the Department Administrator with operations for NELC, and works on scheduling, event planning, and organizational upkeep for the department. Current and prospective students should contact Amina with any questions about NELC. She will either answer them, or direct you to someone who can!
Amina earned her Bachelor's degree in Middle East and North African Studies from Northwestern University in 2015, and worked as a fellow in the Department of Principal Quality at Chicago Public Schools after graduating. She is a longtime Hyde Parker, and a Lab Schools alumna. Members of the NELC community are always free to ask her for local food recommendations, book recommendations, or just to come by the NELC office to relax and have a cup of tea from the samovar.
